Joseph, Eddie

Eddie Joseph wurde als Sohn europäischer Eltern in Indien geboren. Er begann mit 12 zu zaubern, wurde mit 18 Teilzeit- und 1945 Vollprofi.

Er führte eine Schule für Zauberkünstler in Bombay und war der erste Zauberkünstler, der in Indien am Radio auftrat (1933).

Seine Spezialität waren Auftritte ohne Utensilien ausser Alltagsgegenständen. Zudem führte er mit seiner Frau eine Mentalnummer vor.

Aus seiner Feder stammen mehr als zwei Dutzend Publikationen, vor allem über manipulative Zauberkunst für close-up und Salon, über das Becherspiel, Kartenkunststücke und Mentalmagie.
